Quilt!

I am learning how to quilt and this is how far I have gotten. I have made 2 rag quilts and 1 other quilt but this is the first one that I have pieced together. I like it so far- next I will put a big border around the edge. If you are related to me- this may be coming to you at christmas or your birthday so just act surprised!!!! I am too excited about it not to post it here though!!! Tell me what you think about this?

Owl Burp Cloth!

This is my awesome idea that I have been working on- I have about 10 ideas in my head right now. This will be one that I will start selling soon in etsy. This is a boy version and I still have lots of ideas for cute girl ones and other uses in my head. Owls are so popular right now and I like them because they can be girl or boy depending on what fabric you use. Anyway what do you think about this one? how much should I charge? I appreciate you comments!

These burp rags are my latest creations- I think I have made burp rags every possible way. These I think are too cute and I have so many ideas- do you guys like them? This one I used a free pattern from www.portabellopixie.typepad.comThis frog is so cute for a boy- I have a few more ideas on just this frog one- I will have to try them and sell them on etsy or something because I don't need burp rags-ha.

Henna Fun!

I bought one of those Henna Tattoo kits and we had some fun. We didn't get too crazy but may do it again for a party or something.

My Grandmother!

This is my grandmother(my mother's mom) and me. I went to visit her today- I don't visit near as much as I should. She was so good to me growing up- when I went through some bad times she was the one that was there for me. I owe her so much. I am thankful for her and I am going to try to be better and visit more often.

I found this bag at www.awednesdayafternoon.blogspot.com I loooovvee it! I am also going to make some skirts- because I cannot find any that I like that don't cost loootttsss of money. I love the fabric that i find- so why not make some of my own. Anyway- if any of you girls want to learn with me just call or email or leave me a comment!!! I recently learned how to make necklaces out of sculpy from a friend and they are totally awesome- I will show when I make some of my own!!!

OOHHH- It was hot but so much fun!

We just returned from our trip to Disney World- it was sooo hot but we had lots of fun! We spent 5 days at Disney and that was just about right- next time we will work in a few days of rest in between the days at disney!

Burp Rags!

These are some burp rags I made for a baby shower! They have a burp rag inside the fabric with lace all around. I wish I knew how to do this when my girls were little:)

Got Smarts!????!!

I am so proud of my girls- I don't have any pictures of syd because they didn't have a ceremony but both of the girls made Straight A's ALL YEAR. Also good conduct all year and national physical fitness award. Saxton graduated from preschool- he can write his name( maybe that qualifies as an A- i think it is a miracle) he hates anything to do with learning!!!

More Vegas!

These pictures are from KA- this guy was amazing= I wish he had done more but he was a fantastic acrobat!!!This contraption was amazing- i was scared for these guys though walking on the outside of these circles without any safety features but I was entertained!!!!!!

Vegas Trip!!

This is me and my friends Carrie and Christy. We met in Vegas and had a girls weekend. We stayed at Ceasar's Palace and saw KA and The Lion King. We had a really good time but were bombarded by pornography. It was everywhere- we could not escape it. I would never take my children there-at least not walking the strip. This was a much needed get away for me and I feel much better after having some time with some old friends and talking about the old days and how silly we were- it was like turning back time!!

I am seeing the Cirque Show - it is called KA!

I am taking a vacation without my kids!

-This is the first time I have left them to go on a vacation like this.

- I think I deserve it but I will miss them!

I have never seen a Cirque show so I am super excited!

Mother's Day

I had a great mother's day! I always have mixed feelings about this day. I miss my own mother so much and there is nothing I would like more than to have her back but I love to celebrate BEING a mother. My husband made me breakfast and bought me some cards and clothes. The kids actually were good for the first part of the day- the girls have to pick at each other- they just can't stand it! But at church -Sister Darley gave me a hug from my mom- she knew her and said she just wanted to give me a hug from her! She made my day just by that small act of kindness- Wow- the world is not just being swallowed by evil- there are actual angels among us!!!!

The Richardson's came here for flight school and we instantly knew we would be friends- not to mention she had children the same ages as my 3!!! We had lots of cookouts and game nights! The kids really became good friends too- so it is time for them to return to their home in Utah and we will miss them dearly! We cried for a while on Sunday but hope to see them again someday and we wish them all the best on going back home- We love you guys!!!
