Sean From the East

Hi all, as Stacey mentioned I am at the beginning of my six month rotation to Iraq. I am working with the 4th Infantry Division out of Ft. Hood, Texas. I will be flying the new CH-47F helicopters during their first deployment. If all goes well I will still get to do some UH-60 flying as well. It certainly is hot, and the last few days we have been stuck on the ground for severe sandstorms. I am begining to understand why I issued some of the gear that I did not think I would need like scarves and neck gaters but I have learned that breathing moon dust gives you some wicked dust boogers. Stacey is doing a great job of holding down the home front and I enjoy coming to this website to see what they are up to. I am extremely grateful for her and what she does to keep our family on the straight and narrow. I am also proud of the kids because they are taking this well and being a big help to Stacey. I will try to add some pictures when I get a little more settled.

Sean
This is brand new to me and I am having fun learning about this blog thing. I will try to write about the stuff happening to us so everyone will be up to date. Sean is in Iraq now and he says it is HHHOOOOTTTTT there. We are spending lots of time at home in the pool. The kids are enjoying the last month of their summer break before school starts again. We are getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July and are proud of Sean and what he is doing. We will be thinking of him and we ask that you think of him too and maybe he will feel it over there.
This is Sean taking a self-portrait while flying-is he cool or what?
